This is Richmond Fontaine's seventh album. They are a americana band from Portland, Oregon that on his first discs have been occasionally quite rocking and tousled. The previous 'The Fitzgerald' was a stripped and people inspired slice. Now they have gone to Tucson, Arizona, and received help from Calexico who come to the Gulf this summer! And yes, the spice music with trumpets, organ, mandolins, pedal steel, glockenspiel, dobro etc.
It's been a beautiful and desert-inspired disc with mass mood in them. Clearly Richmond Fontaine's most Ambiose now. An exciting sound and a journey into the desert and border cities.
