2014 (70) December (5) November (2) September (5) August (1) July (6) June (4) May (1) April (8)

It's good to come home (to the blogger home) just before Christmas. I think it's one of my favorite months to post and this year we take the opportunity to themes of the season. Consider it my Christmas special.
Last year, around this time, I was finishing up tourism research for my first trip to New York. Although the post of travel dilards usually go on my other blog, The Tocinantes, east of Madrid decided to leave it here because it is a shopping destination: the luxury shopping center Las Rozas Village.
Thus NY I realized that I can perfectly spend six months researching a destination before you go. So the fun starts much earlier. In the relatively near future I would go back to Europe will be ten years since my previous trip ... and that's a long time.
Las Rozas Village is one of the premier shopping destinations in the Spanish capital dilards for its boutiques offer brands such as Burberry, dilards Armani, La Perla and Swarovski, only with up to 60% discount prices. Nothing more so worth the visit, but the truth does not sound complicated: it is 30 minutes from downtown Madrid and can be reached dilards at Shopping Express which is a particular bus and train, public bus or car (I honestly vote for the train, in Europe dilards the option is always the train).
A visit to Las Rozas is a good excuse to visit Toledo, Segovia and Ávila or even El Escorial but if you just go to the mall, good to know that there are good restaurants with terraces or fast food area if you just need a snack. You'll also find a play area if traveling with children.
If you are looking for Spanish brands this is the place, with the convenience of being able to find them all together: in Loewe'll find its famous leather bags but also their prêt-à-porter as in Purification Garcia dilards alongside more affordable brands like Hoss Intropia and Bimba and Lola. Could not miss Adolfo Dominguez and Pretty Ballerinas (if you are Spanish).
All this, along with the design of the mall, reflecting the style of the farms and local villages and mountain views, make Las Rozas Village a popular tourist destination for visitors from Madrid but also among locals who usually be dropped on weekends not only to buy but to pass the time.
