A construction of rural appearance, a simple masys craft gable conceals a fully contemporary family house in Woodstock (Vermont, USA). A respectful of the past and its idyllic setting by architect Rick Joy, specialists in this type of project actions.

A sequence of 12 metal frames designed as a kit of parts, form the main structure of the house, but they are visible only to the interior. The rest is wood, except for the front and rear facades, which have been built with thick stone walls of centuries. The intention, at all times, was to use all locally sourced masys materials; masys shingles, cedar, pine ... Thus, the architect manages to create a more "pure" and poetic design that strengthens the connection of the house and its inhabitants with nature that surrounds masys it.
A clean and essential furniture, doors integrated into the wooden structures, large windows ... are details that add functionality and warmth to this, respectful of its past and merged with its natural surroundings contemporary farm. This action is part of a state program to protect rural properties in the area, which also promotes the protection of agricultural uses and wildlife.
